our mission

Supporting Mental Health has always been a passion for us. The idea of Minds in Shape started from a casual conversation one evening about the dream of "one day" being able to open up a mental health organisation. It felt like we were conversing about an idea that was in the far future, but little did we know, it would be in our grasp a lot quicker than anticipated. 

Between the two of us, we had one with a degree in business marketing and management, with previous experience in Physical Training and running fitness classes. Whilst the other has a degree in psychology and experience in counselling. With these traits combined, we were able to create an organisation we are proud of, that stands for everything we believe in, and is the beginning of the change we're hoping to create. 

The name Minds in Shape did not come to us at first. We were hoping to find a name that demonstrated both supporting mental health and healthier bodies, as per our slogan. When we discussed what we meant by 'healthy bodies', we wanted to highlight that this was much more than encouraging people to be more active. We believe that in order to be all-round healthy, we cannot choose just one or the other, i.e. promoting healthy minds or healthy bodies, but to find a common ground between the two. 

From there, we created our first program: our Feel Good Sessions, a counselling office, school talks and community forums.
