The Feel Good Sessions stemmed from an idea about being able to incorporate physical activity and mental wellbeing. With our partnership with an international fitness franchise, we have been able to create a fun environment, whilst mixing music and movement.
Exercise does wonders for your mental health! Although it is no quick and easy fix for depression and anxiety, it can definitely ease them. It does this, firstly, by releasing those feel-good 'happy hormones', such as endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine, enhancing your sense of wellbeing. It also helps to take your mind off of your worries and break that cycle of negative thoughts that feed anxiety and depression. Not only this, but joining our sessions could also help you to gain confidence, be socially active, and find healthier coping mechanisms, rather than ones such as drugs and alcohol.
Put your running shoes on, bring a friend or come on your own, and enjoy a 45 minute dance workout, with friendly faces and light refreshments afterwards.
